Repair Café

We throw away a lot of stuff! Even things that need a simple repair. Help us change that narrative. Join us at our first Repair Café during Waste Reduction Week to fix your items instead.

We’ll provide tools, materials and skilled volunteers to help you repair your – lamp, bike, jewelry, sweater tear and more.

Repair Cafés teach people to see their possessions in a new light. And to, once again, appreciate their value. Repair Café help change people’s mindset and empower them to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle, while reducing the amount of repairable items sent to landfill.

Seeking skilled volunteer fixers! Email info@awarewhistler.org to sign-up.

The first Repair Café started in Amsterdam in 2009. This initiative has now spread globally and there are more than 1,400 repair cafés worldwide. For more information visit: repaircafe.org

The Zero Waste Living Workshop Series was made possible thanks to funding from the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s Community Enrichment Program and our venue sponsor the Whistler Public Library.
