As we lock back down, Whistler's bears are emergin As we lock back down, Whistler's bears are emerging from their dens.

Here are some quick ways you can help keep bears wild:
🐻 Think of your BBQ like a giant bear popsicle. They smell good and sometimes there are extra yummy bits at the bottom!
🐻 Keep your BBQ spotless. This helps reduce the chance of a bear giving it a lick! After a few tasteless popsicles the bears attention will hopefully return to more natural foods.
🐻 We all know that once you get a good popsicle, you want try them all! If a bear enjoys one BBQ, they are going to check out the others on the block! We all need to do our part in keeping BBQ's off the dessert list.
🐻 Remember bears can climb! Follow these tips even if you don't live on the ground floor.
🐻 Whenever possible store your clean BBQ securely away. We all know the safest popsicles are the ones we hide!

And for those who might not be into popsicle analogies.... BBQ's cost $$ to replace! Whatever your motivation, please help keep Whistler's bears wild.

Stay safe, stay home, 💚 nature.

Here in BC, we're big fans of our trees. Not only Here in BC, we're big fans of our trees. Not only do they provide endless gorgeous backdrops for our social media posts, but they provide habitat for wildlife, oxygen for our lungs, and filtration for our water (amongst their many other values).

Today, in honor of the #marchforoldgrowth, the AWARE team is choosing to #strikeapose for the #TreePoseChallenge and show our support for #bcforests which are #WorthMoreStanding

Plus, join us tonight for an exciting event on BC Forestry! (link in bio)
