SWAP, DON’T SHOP!

Exchange your previously loved pieces for something new to you and help keep textiles out of landfill. AWARE’s popular biannual Clothing Swap is back, cohosted with Velvet Underground! All funds raised will support AWARE’s environmental work in the Sea to Sky. Unswapped clothing will be donated to the Whistler Community Services Society (Re-Use It Centre).

Date: Monday, October 17, 2022

Time: Check-in and help our volunteers hang your clothing from 6:00p.m.*  SWAP will run until 8:00p.m.

Location: Macdonald Ballroom, Fairmont Chateau Whistler

Admission:

• $10 with swappable clothing
• $20 empty-handed

*SWAP will begin as soon as all clothes are ready. Arrive on time so you don’t miss the big reveal. There is a bar for you to buy drinks while you wait.

Purchase tickets on Eventbrite or on the night.

SWAP:
Wanting to downsize or refresh your wardrobe? Bring by any of your previously loved clothing, outdoor apparel, shoes, and/or accessories and SWAP them for something fresh. Please make sure your donations are in good condition, washed and ready for a new home.

REPAIR STATION:
Once inside the swap, bring items that need a quick mend to the talented alteration specialists at the Repair Station.

First come first serve and by donation.

VOLUNTEER:
If you would like to volunteer, please email info@awarewhistler.org. Available volunteer positions include, but are not limited to: postering; equipment collection; set-up & tear-down; event promotion and poster distribution and;  talented alterations specialists to help at repair station,
