Taniell Hamilton

Originally from Southern Alberta, Taniell spent her early twenties studying and working abroad. She has a degree in both Sustainability Studies and Early Childhood Education, and in 2012 her passion for skiing brought her out west to Whistler. In 2019, Taniell left her role as Whistler Blackcomb’s Assistant Sustainability Manager (formerly Waste Reduction Specialist) to spend a year in Copenhagen exploring European sustainability and climate initiatives. She has been a leader for the Climate Reality Project since 2018 and was invited to speak on a panel at the 2020 United Nations Global Festival of Action regarding sustainability in the workplace. Taniell is passionate about changing behaviors through environmental education and believes that collaboration and learning from one another is the greatest opportunity we have to accelerate change. On days off she can be found swimming at alpha lake or exploring nearby trails with her dog Charlie.
